Calgary, AB – Kevin Sawyer * scored two goals to spark the Sofa Kings to a 5-3 win over the Panthers at Optimist on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Sofa Kings was A Bealile and Gord Matheson * and Jordan Johnson each adding a goal. Bealile added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * picked up the win for the Sofa Kings giving up three goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Panthers was Josh Pauls*, Mike Tucker* and Dean Setoguchi* each adding single goals. Goaltender Doug Lavers surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Panthers.

With the win, the Sofa Kings improve to 8-5-0-0 while the Panthers fall to 5-5-3-0.
