Ciccone nets hat-trick, Knights mount comeback to guide past Calgary Pylons
Calgary, AB – Mark Ciccone scored a hat-trick and added two assists to help fuel the Knights erased a three-goal deficit and to a 10-7 win over the Calgary Pylons at Stew Hendry on Sunday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Knights was Adam Sly* and Dan Sturko* with a pair of goals each and Tyler Reid*, Shawn Calafatis* and Bob Kerr chipping in with a goal each. Derek Boeckx* and Kevin Mullie* each added three assists, Reid*. Goaltender Trevor Sedgwick* picked up the win for the Knights giving up 0 goals.
The win snapped the Knights' three-game losing skid.
Striking for the Calgary Pylons was Matt Vanderkooy* and David Shepherd* with a pair of goals each, Geoff Bobiy*, Jamie Marino* and JP Gallant* with a goal each. Vanderkooy* and Bobiy* each added two assists. Goaltender Aaron Johnston* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Calgary Pylons.
The Calgary Pylons jumped out to a 6-3 lead when Marino* scored his third of the season with 17:07 left in the second period but Sly* responded for the Knights with his second of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Knights improve to 2-6-1-0 while the Calgary Pylons fall to 3-5-0-0.
