Calgary, AB – Jeff Golby* scored four goals and added three assists to lift the Melrose Cafe to an 11-5 clobbering over the Pirates at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Melrose Cafe was C Baskin with a hat-trick, Marvin Nickel* with two goals, Keith McLarty* and Kelly Edwards each adding single tallies. Baskin added four assists, Golby* and Jason Konoff* each added three assists and Garnet Klassen* added two assists. Goaltender Quinn Morettin* picked up the win for the Melrose Cafe giving up 0 goals.

Cashing in for the Pirates was Jeff Faye* with two goals and Peter Michaelis*, Ryan Silver and Joe Lenz* contributing with a goal each. Goaltender Rick Windl* surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the win, the Melrose Cafe improve to 1-0-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 0-1-0-0.
