Calgary, AB – Matt Buckholz* scored a goal and added two assists to guide the Panthers to a 6-2 throttling over the Pirates at Norma Bush on Thursday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers was Ken Kornylo*, Mike Juhasz, Mike Leslie*, Mike Kruchten*, Scott Coe* chipping in with a goal each. Murray Quibell*. Goaltender Greg Fitzpatrick* picked up the win for the Panthers giving up 0 goals.

Cashing in for the Pirates was Scott McCallion and Rick Windl each adding single tallies. Goaltender Rick Windl surrendered six goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the win, the Panthers improve to 2-0-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 0-1-0-0.
