Calgary, AB – Tim Cross* scored four goals and added an assist as the Pirates extended its winning streak to three games with a 8-4 trouncing over the Sofa Kings at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Pirates was Gary Smyth* with a hat-trick and Lyden Dyck* with a single marker. Steve Atkinson* and Scott McCallion* each added four assists, Smyth* added three assists and Nate Roberts* added two assists. Goaltender Rick Windl* picked up the victory for the Pirates giving up four goals.

Providing the offence for the Sofa Kings was Rob Johnston * with a hat-trick and Trevor Burke * with a single tally. Gord Matheson * added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Sofa Kings.

With the victory, the Pirates improve to 18-8-2-0 while the Sofa Kings fall to 11-14-2-0.
