Calgary, AB – Rob Johnston * scored two goals to help lift the Sofa Kings to a 7-4 victory over the Panthers at Southland on Monday.

Also scoring for the Sofa Kings was Matthew Gillick * and Chris Murphy *, Rory Dawson *, Trevor Burke * and Gord Matheson * each adding single goals. Gillick * added three assists and Murphy * added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * picked up the victory for the Sofa Kings giving up four goals.

Scoring for the Panthers was Matt Buckholz* with two goals and Scott Coe* and Mike Kruchten* each with single strikes. Buckholz* added two assists. Goaltender Greg Fitzpatrick* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Panthers.

With the victory, the Sofa Kings improve to 11-13-2-0 while the Panthers fall to 13-10-4-0.
