Calgary, AB – Murray Patterson* scored his 11th goal of the season with 0:35 remaining in the third period and Steve Small* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help support the Mocoat Thunder in a 6-5 victory over the Tailgaters at George Blundun on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Mocoat Thunder was Greg Varga* and Dave Morris* each with single strikes. Varga* added five assists and Morris* added three assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms* picked up the victory for the Mocoat Thunder giving up five goals.

Providing the offence for the Tailgaters was Kent Pozzo with a hat-trick and Derek Sharp* and Lance Nixon* with a goal each. Sharp* added two assists. Goaltender John Breen* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.

With the victory, the Mocoat Thunder improve to 11-8-3-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 9-11-2-0.
