Calgary, AB – Talon Berlando* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to lead the Grasshoppers erased a four-goal deficit and to a 9-6 triumph over the Warthogs at Frank McCool on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Grasshoppers was Duane Smith* and Jeff Huntley*, Alex McCallum*, Lance Davidson*, Brad Phillips* and Tom Gregory* chipping in with a goal each. Gord Edwards* and Kyle Smith* ( A) each added three assists, Smith* and Matt Lamirande each added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Devenich* picked up the victory for the Grasshoppers giving up 0 goals.

Finding the twine for the Warthogs was Derek Root* with a hat-trick and Pat Shippitt*, Chad Dauphenais* and Don Westman* each tallying single markers. Ryan Wasko* added three assists and Lauren Davis added two assists. Goaltender Chris Lowe* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Warthogs.

The Warthogs jumped out to a 6-2 lead when Westman* scored his fourth of the season with 9:22 left in the second period but Smith* responded for the Grasshoppers with his 17th of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the Grasshoppers improve to 10-10-1-0 while the Warthogs fall to 5-15-1-0.
