Calgary, AB – Dave Nielson scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help secure the Chiefs a victory in a 7-5 victory over the Da Byes at Frank McCool on Friday.

Adding markers for the Chiefs was Darren McCutcheon with two goals, Karl Johanson and Bryan Heard with a goal each. Rick Schiller added two assists. Goaltender Justin LaBrie picked up the victory for the Chiefs giving up 0 goals.

The victory extinguished the Chiefs' four-game losing streak.

Providing the offence for the Da Byes was Glenn Saunders* and Jason Smith* with a pair of goals each and Ross Dance with a single marker. Goaltender Doug Lavers* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Da Byes.

With the victory, the Chiefs improve to 1-4-0-0 while the Da Byes fall to 1-3-1-0.
