Steranko buries two, BDR Angers better Icemen
Calgary, AB – Jon Steranko scored two goals and added an assist to help support the BDR Angers in a 7-4 victory over the Icemen at Fairview Arena on Thursday.
Adding markers for the BDR Angers was Marty Holzinger with two goals and Darryl Wilson, Chris Morrison and Dean Fratarcangeli each with single strikes. Wilson and Rick Bower each added two assists. Goaltender Phil Meloche picked up the victory for the BDR Angers giving up 0 goals.
Providing the offence for the Icemen was Danny Hicke with two goals and Scott MacLean and Sean Jozsa with a goal each. MacLean added two assists. Goaltender Mike Bourgeois surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Icemen.
The setback halted the Icemen's six-game winning streak.
With the victory, the BDR Angers improve to 14-11-6-0 while the Icemen fall to 18-9-4-0.
