Calgary, AB – James Matheson scored a hat-trick and added an assist to spark the Pirates to a 7-5 win over the Old Time Flyers at Norma Bush on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Pirates was Shane Steeves with two goals, Gary Yamada and Steve Turvey each adding a goal. Yamada added three assists. Goaltender Rick Windle picked up the victory for the Pirates giving up five goals.

The win snapped the Pirates' three-game losing skid.

Lighting the lamp for the Old Time Flyers was Frank Lyall and Mike Costello with a pair of goals each and Glenn Hamilton with a single tally. Goaltender Greg Fox surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Old Time Flyers.

With the victory, the Pirates improve to 8-22-2-0 while the Old Time Flyers fall to 8-19-5-0.
