DiMarzo scores four, Melrose better Thunder
Calgary, AB – Simon DiMarzo scored four goals and added an assist to help support the Melrose in an 8-5 victory over the Thunder at Ernie Starr on Sunday.
Adding markers for the Melrose was Steve Arsenault with two goals, C Thornton and Colin Page with a goal each. Jason Konoff added three assists, Page, Thornton, Santino Dimarzo and Werner Gartner each added two assists. Goaltender Al Manz picked up the victory for the Melrose giving up 0 goals.
The victory extinguished the Melrose's four-game losing streak.
Scoring for the Thunder was S McGovern with two goals and Todd Bigelow, Dave Morris and Greg Varga each with single strikes. Dale Martin added three assists, Chris Gibson and Aaron Yamniuk each added two assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Thunder.
With the victory, the Melrose improve to 9-19-1-0 while the Thunder fall to 20-7-2-0.
