Calgary, AB – Steve Nemeth* scored a hat-trick and added two assists as the Hopewell Hurricanes extended its winning streak to three games with a 13-5 pounding over the Devils at Optimist on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Doug Pickell* with a hat-trick, Steve Griffin* with two goals, Scott Bishop* and John Doyle* and Mitchell Nemeth* each with single strikes. Bishop* added four assists, Doyle* and Barry Tanguay* each added three assists. Goaltender Martin Szomolanki* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Scoring for the Devils was Dustin Homing with a hat-trick and Bret Kimpton and Eric Monteith each adding single goals. Monteith and Kimpton each added two assists. Goaltender Karri Humble surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Devils.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 11-9-1-0 while the Devils fall to 5-12-4-0.
