Calgary, AB – M O'Connell scored a hat-trick to help secure the Flying Hellfish a victory in an 8-6 victory over the Warthogs at Optimist on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Flying Hellfish was Mel Linn* and Jeff Wareham* with a pair of goals each and Andy Schmidt* with a single tally. Linn* and Vince Niro* each added two assists. Goaltender Cam Corbett* picked up the victory for the Flying Hellfish giving up 0 goals.

Providing the offence for the Warthogs was Jarrod Stanton* with two goals and M Abella*, Dale Kindlein*, Dave Yuris* and Stephen Kelba* each contributing with single markers. Jeff Kulyk* and Derek Root* each added two assists. Goaltender Chris Lowe* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Warthogs.

The loss snuffed out the Warthogs' three-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Flying Hellfish improve to 13-16-3-0 while the Warthogs fall to 14-14-3-0.
