Calgary, AB – John Doyle* scored two goals and added two assists to help bring the Hopewell Hurricanes to an 11-5 route over the Mocoat Thunder at Frank McCool on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Steve Nemeth* and Aaron Cowley* and Andy Keats* with a pair of goals each, Dustin Shewchuk*, Barry Tanguay* and Jason Downey* chipping in with singles. Preston Yachimec* and Scott Bishop* each added four assists, Nemeth*, Doyle* and Cowley* each added two assists. Goaltender Martin Szomolanki* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Mocoat Thunder was Adam Quigley* with two goals and Allan Bianchini*, Steve Small* and Darren Jones* each contributing with single markers. Chris Gibson* added two assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms* surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Mocoat Thunder.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 3-4-1-0 while the Mocoat Thunder fall to 1-6-1-0.
