Calgary, AB – Aaron Cowley* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to lift the Hopewell Hurricanes to an 8-2 clobbering over the Flying Elbows at Southland on Monday.

Capping off the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Ross Keily* with two goals, Brent Wandler and Dustin Shewchuk* and Andy Keats* each tallying single markers. Wandler, Steve Griffin*, Martin Carter*, Scott Bishop* and Barry Tanguay* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up two goals.

Sniping for the Flying Elbows was Steve Tuckey* and Darren Feist* contributing with a goal each. Steve Nadeau* added two assists. Goaltender Travis ? surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Flying Elbows.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 8-7-1-0 while the Flying Elbows fall to 10-6-0-0.
