Calgary, AB – Dave Morris* scored a hat-trick to fuel the Mocoat Thunder to a 9-7 conquest over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Mocoat Thunder was Adam Quigley* with two goals, Tim Arnett* and Chris Gibson*, Darren Jones* and Jeff Horn each tallying single markers. Greg Varga* added four assists and Quigley* added two assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms* picked up the win for the Mocoat Thunder giving up seven goals.

Sniping for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andy Keats* with four strikes and Steve Nemeth*, Jason Downey* and Ross Keily* contributing with a goal each. Nemeth*, Doug Pickell* and Preston Yachimec* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the win, the Mocoat Thunder improve to 3-11-1-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 7-7-1-0.
