Calgary, AB – Mat Jones* scored a hat-trick as the Wolves extended its winning streak to six games with a 9-2 pounding over the Sabres at Frank McCool on Friday.

Adding markers for the Wolves was Jon Sigurdson* and Dwayne Morrissette* with a pair of goals each and Dave Slack* and Nathan Steinke* each with single strikes. Jeremy Omelchuk* added three assists and Ryan Bennato* added two assists. Goaltender Nathan Steinke* picked up the victory for the Wolves giving up 0 goals.

Scoring for the Sabres was Kevin Macedo* and Phil delete each adding single goals. Goaltender Colby Stagman* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Sabres.

The setback halted the Sabres' six-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Wolves improve to 6-0-3-0 while the Sabres fall to 7-3-0-0.
