Farrell* scores two, Schooners mount comeback to conquer Tailgaters
Calgary, AB – Jeff Campbell* scored his 16th goal of the season with 0:58 remaining in the third period and Tim Farrell* scored two goals and added two assists to help fuel the Schooners to an 8-7 win over the Tailgaters at George Blundun on Saturday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Schooners was Greg MacQuarrie*, Chris Paz*, Dennis Holder* and Nick Gill* chipping in with a goal each. MacQuarrie* added three assists, Paz*, Stephen Duncan*. Goaltender Duane Arsenault picked up the win for the Schooners giving up 0 goals.
Striking for the Tailgaters was Mike Murdock* with four strikes, Devin Wagner* with two goals and Lance Nixon* with a single tally. Wagner* and Brent Beebe* each added four assists and Murdock* added two assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.
The Tailgaters jumped out to a 5-2 lead when Murdock* scored his fourth of the season with 18:06 left in the second period but Gill* responded for the Schooners with his second of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Schooners improve to 6-0-1-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 3-3-1-0.
