Calgary, AB – Bravin Bosch* scored four goals and added an assist to spark the Southern Alberta Bears to a 9-5 pummeling over the Chiefs at Henry Viney on Thursday.

Also scoring for the Southern Alberta Bears was Kirk Sproule* with a hat-trick, Tyler Yamashiro* and Greg Rutherford* each adding single goals. Troy Miller* added four assists, Yamashiro*, Douglas Skanderup*, Jason Driedger* and Kyle Morton* each added two assists. Goaltender Gordon Wysota* picked up the win for the Southern Alberta Bears giving up five goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Chiefs was Darren McCutcheon* with a hat-trick and Bruce Gillis and John Bunting* each adding a goal. Dave Wirsta* added two assists. Goaltender Jon MacMillan surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

With the win, the Southern Alberta Bears improve to 1-0-0-0 while the Chiefs fall to 0-1-0-0.
