Gartner scores pair, BDR Angers comeback to outperform Predators
Calgary, AB – Neal Gartner scored two goals including his seventh goal of the season with 0:56 remaining in the third period and to help secure the BDR Angers a victory in a 7-6 triumph over the Predators at Optimist on Sunday.
Completing the scoring for for the BDR Angers was Ryan Paulgaard and Jon Steranko, Bret Kimpton, Duncan Albion and Marty Holzinger each contributing with single markers. Paulgaard added two assists. Goaltender Marcello Leonardis picked up the victory for the BDR Angers giving up 0 goals.
Finding the back of the net for the Predators was Garren Reisinger with a hat-trick and Geoff Lindsay, Greg Taylor and Brad Gilmour chipping in with singles. Simone Rivard and Keith Taylor each added two assists. Goaltender Paul Chatten surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Predators.
The Predators jumped out to a 4-0 lead when Reisinger scored his 20th of the season with 12:55 left in the first period but Gartner responded for the BDR Angers with his sixth of the season to start the rally.
With the victory, the BDR Angers improve to 10-7-6-0 while the Predators fall to 12-9-4-0.
