Calgary, AB – Justin Morgan* scored a hat-trick and added two assists to help bring the IceHogs erased a three-goal deficit and to a 10-8 triumph over the Chiefs at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the IceHogs was Rhett Gerrard* and Mike Tanton* with a pair of goals each and Kevin Free*, Steve Stowe* and Ashley Raabis* each contributing with single markers. Free* added three assists, Brent Gosselin*. Goaltender Jody Stevens* picked up the victory for the IceHogs giving up eight goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Chiefs was Greg Kardynal * and Darren McCutcheon* and Darren McKay* with a pair of goals each, Bruce Gillis* and Ryan Joseph* chipping in with singles. James Ward* added three assists, Kardynal *, Gillis* and John Bunting* each added two assists. Goaltender Ryan Hunt* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs jumped out to a 4-1 lead when McKay* scored his sixth of the season with 6:49 left in the first period but Morgan* responded for the IceHogs with his 37th of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the IceHogs improve to 19-8-5-0 while the Chiefs fall to 15-15-2-0.
