Calgary, AB – Scott Atkinson* scored his first goal of the season with 2:21 remaining in the second period and Kevin Murphy* scored a goal and added an assist to lift the Pirates to a 5-4 conquest over the Grasshoppers at Max Bell #1 on Thursday.

Capping off the scoring for the Pirates was Tim Buckley*, Joe Curts*, Roger Miller* contributing with a goal each. Goaltender Mark Rollands picked up the win for the Pirates giving up 0 goals.

Sniping for the Grasshoppers was Kelly Edwards*, Barret Dube*, Kyle Smith* and Kevin Lodberg* each tallying single markers. Goaltender Kiel Edge* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Grasshoppers.

With the win, the Pirates improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Grasshoppers fall to 1-1-0-0.
