Calgary, AB – Josh Pauls* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help secure the Panthers a victory in a 7-4 victory over the Pirates at Max Bell #1 on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Panthers was Andrew Fox* and Mike Juhasz*, Todd Kathol* and Casey Wheatley* each contributing with single markers. Fox*, Juhasz*, Scott Coe* and Rick Dziadyk* each added two assists. Goaltender Greg Fitzpatrick* picked up the victory for the Panthers giving up 0 goals.

Providing the offence for the Pirates was Brett Stowkowy* with two goals and Gary Smyth* and Darryl Lewis* with a goal each. Scott McCallion and Scott Atkinson* each added two assists. Goaltender Rick Windl* surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the victory, the Panthers improve to 1-0-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 0-1-0-0.
