Matthews* nets hat-trick, Anchor Concrete Bobcats mount comeback to whip Mustangs
Calgary, AB – Ioan Matthews* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to guide the Anchor Concrete Bobcats erased a three-goal deficit and to a 10-6 throttling over the Mustangs at Ernie Starr on Sunday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Anchor Concrete Bobcats was Shawn Heatley with a hat-trick, Steve Martin* with two goals, Brian Bieche* and M Clarke chipping in with a goal each. R Chauinard added three assists, Brent Hooey*, Dave Brown*, Chris Hassett* and Scott Gardner* each added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Devinch* picked up the win for the Anchor Concrete Bobcats giving up 0 goals.
Cashing in for the Mustangs was Jeremy Baines* with a hat-trick and Brent Johnson, Ashley Harris* and Tim Lowe* each adding single tallies. Matt Cook* added two assists. Goaltender Duane Arsenault* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs jumped out to a 3-0 lead when Baines* scored his seventh of the season with 12:42 left in the first period but Martin* responded for the Anchor Concrete Bobcats with his 10th of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Anchor Concrete Bobcats improve to 13-9-4-0 while the Mustangs fall to 5-19-2-0.
