Martin nets hat-trick, Thunder steamroll Melrose
Calgary, AB – Dale Martin scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help support the Thunder in a 9-5 spanking over the Melrose at Norma Bush on Saturday.
Adding markers for the Thunder was Aaron Yamniuk and Mark Komisar with a pair of goals each and Greg Varga and Dave Morris with a goal each. Yamniuk added three assists, Varga, Gary Bianchini and Darren Jones each added two assists. Goaltender T Foley picked up the victory for the Thunder giving up 0 goals.
Providing the offence for the Melrose was Dave Karpuk with two goals and Mike Hill, Dave Quinn and Chris Trudel each contributing with single markers. Goaltender Brian Kevol surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Melrose.
With the victory, the Thunder improve to 14-4-2-0 while the Melrose fall to 6-14-0-0.
