Calgary, AB – Steve Small* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to spark the Mocoat Thunder to a 9-7 win over the Tailgaters at Optimist on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Mocoat Thunder was Greg Varga* and Dave Morris* with a pair of goals each and Keith Osmond* and Chris Gibson* each adding a goal. Brad Haley* added two assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms* picked up the win for the Mocoat Thunder giving up seven goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Tailgaters was Will Hotomanie* with a hat-trick and Trevor Burke*, JD Goddard*, Lance Nixon* and Kelly NcNeill* each adding single goals. Burke* added four assists, Hotomanie* added three assists and Goddard* added two assists. Goaltender R Workman surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.

With the win, the Mocoat Thunder improve to 8-14-1-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 14-8-1-0.
