Calgary, AB – Scott Cote* scored two goals and added an assist to fuel the Mets to a 6-1 thrashing over the Mustangs at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Mets was Clarke Turpin* with two goals and Scott Fargey* and Al Mowbray* contributing with a goal each. Brian Philpott added three assists, Chris Daskas*, Mike Gillis* and John Pietrovito* each added two assists. Goaltender Matt Elder* picked up the win for the Mets holding the Mustangs to a single goal.

Tallying the lone goal for the Mustangs was and Jim Pendergast*, his fifth of the season. Goaltender Ray King surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

With the win, the Mets improve to 5-8-0-0 while the Mustangs fall to 2-11-0-0.
