Calgary, AB – Jason Konoff scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Melrose to a 6-4 triumph over the Pirates at George Blundun on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Melrose was and Mike Bukatka with a single tally. Simon DiMarzo added four assists. Goaltender Al Manz picked up the victory for the Melrose giving up 0 goals.

The victory extinguished the Melrose's six-game losing streak.

Finding the twine for the Pirates was Dennis Ekvall with two goals and Peter Douvris and Kevin Murphy chipping in with a goal each. Douvris added two assists. Goaltender Rick Windle surrendered six goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the victory, the Melrose improve to 6-13-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 3-14-2-0.
