Calgary, AB – Paul Taylor* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help lift the Hopewell Hurricanes to an 8-5 victory over the Chevron at Optimist on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andy Keats* with a hat-trick, Will Grisdale* with two goals . Grisdale*, Roger Meyer* and Scott Bishop* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Scoring for the Chevron was Andy Ketchin* and Pierre Turcotte* with a pair of goals each and Tim Begalke* with a single marker. Mike Prins* and Ken Jaszan* each added two assists. Goaltender Darrell Gall* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Chevron.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 6-3-0-0 while the Chevron fall to 3-5-1-0.
