Keats scores four, Hopewell Hurricanes pound Melrose
Calgary, AB – Andy Keats scored four goals as the Hopewell Hurricanes extended its winning streak to three games with a 10-4 spanking over the Melrose at Optimist on Saturday.
Adding markers for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Paul Taylor with two goals, Aaron Cowley and Brent Snyder, Justian Wylie and Brent McClocklin each with single strikes. Doug Pickell, Martin Carter, John Doyle and Jeff Snyder each added three assists and Jason Downey added two assists. Goaltender Mark Flath picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up 0 goals.
Scoring for the Melrose was Neelan Edbom with a hat-trick and Jay Brown with a single tally. Werner Gartner and Dustin Leskosky each added two assists. Goaltender Al Manz surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Melrose.
With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 14-11-2-0 while the Melrose fall to 8-18-1-0.
