Calgary, AB – Aaron Yamniuk* scored a hat-trick and added three assists as the Mocoat Thunder extended its winning streak to three games with a 9-5 throttling over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Mocoat Thunder was Dave Morris* and Steve Small* with a pair of goals each and Tim Arnett* and Brad Haley* each adding single tallies. Yamniuk* and Arnett* each added three assists, Haley* and Darren Jones* each added two assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms* picked up the win for the Mocoat Thunder giving up five goals.

Cashing in for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Roger Meyer* with two goals and Andy Keats*, Brent McClocklin* and Aaron Cowley* chipping in with a goal each. Keats* added three assists. Goaltender Mark Flath* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the win, the Mocoat Thunder improve to 15-5-2-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 8-12-1-0.
