Calgary, AB – Aaron Cowley* scored a hat-trick and added two assists to guide the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 9-1 throttling over the Flying Elbows at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Jason Downey and Doug Pickell*, John Doyle*, Ross Keily*, Brent Snyder* and Paul Taylor* chipping in with a goal each. Downey, Pickell*, Preston Yachimec*, Roger Meyer*, Rob McNaughton*. Goaltender picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes holding the Flying Elbows to a single goal.

Scoring the single strike for the Flying Elbows was and Chris Trudel*, his eighth of the season. Goaltender Allan Manz* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Flying Elbows.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 6-9-1-0 while the Flying Elbows fall to 3-12-1-0.
