Snyder* nets hat-trick, Hopewell Hurricanes mount comeback to vanquish Tigers
Calgary, AB – Jeff Snyder* scored a hat-trick including his 18th goal of the season with 3:08 remaining in the third period and to help the Hopewell Hurricanes to an 8-7 win over the Tigers at Norma Bush on Tuesday.
Also scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Doug Pickell* and Brent Snyder*, Trevor Hunt*, Andy Keats* and Ross McNaughton* each adding a goal. Pickell* and Aaron Cowley* each added three assists, Snyder* and Martin Carter* each added two assists. Goaltender Mark Flath* picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up 0 goals.
Lighting the lamp for the Tigers was Dave Latiff* with two goals and Will Hotomanie*, Chuck Critchley*, Tristan Janusc, Gary Wotton* and Devin Wagner* with a goal each. Janusc, Hotomanie*, Critchley* and Brent Beebe each added two assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Tigers.
The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead when Wagner* scored his 16th of the season with 9:09 left in the first period but Snyder* responded for the Hopewell Hurricanes with his 16th of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 13-11-3-0 while the Tigers fall to 11-10-6-0.
