Calgary, AB – Ryan Toovey scored a hat-trick and added an assist to guide the Cyclones to an 11-6 throttling over the Blades at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Cyclones was Shawn Bornais with a hat-trick, Dave Lawrence and Jesse Prochera, Dale Scheible, Rob Kennedy and Gerry Heck chipping in with a goal each. Prochera and Lawrence each added three assists. Goaltender Rick Hoyt picked up the win for the Cyclones giving up 0 goals.

Cashing in for the Blades was Jim Gillies with a hat-trick and Rob Beecher, Cory Romashenko and Bob Storrs each adding single tallies. Dale Kindlein added three assists, Gillies and Beecher each added two assists. Goaltender Graeme Rowe surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Blades.

With the win, the Cyclones improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Blades fall to 1-1-0-0.
