Calgary, AB – Laird Dyck* scored his 25th goal of the season with 4:00 remaining in the third period and Jeff ? scored a hat-trick as the Pirates extended their winning streak to five games with a 8-7 conquest over the Schooners at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Pirates was Kevin Murphy* and Ken Muis*, Josh Mooney*, Shane Steeves* contributing with a goal each. Steve Turvey* added three assists, Matt Dyck*, Lyden Dyck* and Rory Heebner* each added two assists. Goaltender D Lewis picked up the win for the Pirates giving up 0 goals.

Cashing in for the Schooners was Jeff Campbell, Nick Gill, Chris Paz, Reagan Tyson, Steve Whitehead, Tim Farrell and Kevin Teasdale each adding single tallies. Stephen Duncan added four assists, Campbell added three assists and Gill added two assists. Goaltender Jimmy Farrell surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Schooners.

The setback halted the Schooners' three-game winning streak.

With the win, the Pirates improve to 18-3-2-0 while the Schooners fall to 9-12-2-0.
