Moore* buries four, Icehogs beat the wheels off Wolves
Calgary, AB – Derrick Moore* scored four goals and added two assists as the Icehogs extended its winning streak to six games with a 10-4 pounding over the Wolves at Ernie Starr on Sunday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Icehogs was Kevin Free* and Bill Stait* with a pair of goals each and Blaine Dobinson* and Don Campbell with a goal each. Dobinson* and Mike Tanton* each added four assists, Shawn Foster* added three assists, Moore* and Steve Stowe* each added two assists. Goaltender Jody Stevens* picked up the win for the Icehogs giving up four goals.
Striking for the Wolves was Rob Conrad*, Ryan Bennato*, Brad Deets* and Jon Haberstock* chipping in with a goal each. Conrad* added three assists and Bennato* added two assists. Goaltender Nathan Steinke* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Wolves.
The loss snuffed out the Wolves' four-game winning streak.
With the win, the Icehogs improve to 13-3-2-0 while the Wolves fall to 9-9-1-0.
