Calgary, AB – Kevin Free* scored a hat-trick and added six assists as the Icehogs extended its winning streak to three games with a 14-7 spanking over the Rustlers at Southland on Monday.

Adding markers for the Icehogs was Dave White* with a hat-trick, Scott Lindsay* and Chris Kemp* with a pair of goals each and Ashley Raabis*, Mike Tanton*, Shawn Foster* and Jeff Shesky* with a goal each. Free* added six assists, White*, Lindsay* and Kemp* each added four assists, Raabis* and Blaine Dobinson* each added two assists. Goaltender Jody Stevens* picked up the victory for the Icehogs giving up seven goals.

Providing the offence for the Rustlers was Chris Quigg with two goals and Matt Magoreeth, Brad Hart*, Nick Darling*, Carey Ernewein* and Brett Watts* each contributing with single markers. Magoreeth and Hart* each added three assists, Darling*, Ernewein* and Drew McKnight* each added two assists. Goaltender Jared Wesley* surrendered 14 goals in the loss for the Rustlers.

With the victory, the Icehogs improve to 10-3-2-0 while the Rustlers fall to 6-7-2-0.
