Gardner scores twice, Wolves double up Icehogs
Calgary, AB – Jay Gardner scored two goals and added two assists as the Wolves extended its winning streak to three games with a 6-3 victory over the Icehogs at George Blundun on Saturday.
Adding markers for the Wolves was Ryan Bennato* and Jon Haberstock*, Noel Macri* and Jason Gouw* each adding single goals. Bennato* added four assists and Gardner added two assists. Goaltender Nathan Steinke* picked up the victory for the Wolves giving up 0 goals.
Scoring for the Icehogs was Todd McAleese*, Don Campbell and Barkley Sauter* each with single strikes. Goaltender Jody Stevens* surrendered six goals in the loss for the Icehogs.
With the victory, the Wolves improve to 5-6-1-0 while the Icehogs fall to 7-3-2-0.
