Calgary, AB – Ashley Raabis* scored his seventh goal of the season with 1:24 remaining in the third period and Steve Stowe* scored two goals and added three assists to lift the Icehogs to a 9-8 conquest over the Chiefs at Optimist on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Icehogs was Derrick Moore*, Shawn Foster*, Kevin Free* and Cam Mackee contributing with a goal each. Moore*, Dave White* and Tyler Yachyshen* each added two assists. Goaltender Jody Stevens* picked up the win for the Icehogs giving up eight goals.

Sniping for the Chiefs was Darren McCutchen with a hat-trick, Mike Roberts(*) with two goals and Chris Budra (*), Bruce Gilles and Steve Kolber(*) each tallying single markers. McCutchen, Budra (*), Gilles and Bill Sowa (*) each added two assists. Goaltender Neal Saborin surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

With the win, the Icehogs improve to 7-1-2-0 while the Chiefs fall to 1-7-2-0.
