Calgary, AB – Scott Lindsay scored a hat-trick and added an assist to spark the Icehogs to an 8-4 pummeling over the Icecats at Stew Hendry on Monday.

Also scoring for the Icehogs was Derrick Moore and Mike Tanton with a pair of goals each and Todd McAleese with a single marker. Kevin Free, Chris McKinnon and Rob Lamothe each added two assists. Goaltender Jody Stevens picked up the win for the Icehogs giving up four goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Icecats was Rob Walker with a hat-trick and Shawn Morgan with a single tally. Rob Christensen added two assists. Goaltender Larry Guilloux surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Icecats.

With the win, the Icehogs improve to 1-0-1-0 while the Icecats fall to 1-1-0-0.
