Calgary, AB – Trevor Hunt* scored two goals and added two assists as the Hopewell Hurricanes erased a four-goal deficit and extended its winning streak to three games with a 9-6 triumph over the Schooners at George Blundun on Saturday.

Completing the scoring for for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Brent McClocklin* with two goals and Aaron Cowley*, John Doyle*, Steve Griffin*, Paul Taylor* and Jason Downey* chipping in with a goal each. Doug Pickell* added four assists, Cowley*. Goaltender Mark Flath* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up 0 goals.

Finding the twine for the Schooners was Jeff Campbell with two goals and Jeff Earle, Tim Farrell, Larry Andrea and Cam Doepker chipping in with singles. Campbell added two assists. Goaltender Jimmy Farrell surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Schooners.

The Schooners jumped out to a 6-2 lead when Andrea scored his fifth of the season with 5:36 left in the second period but Hunt* responded for the Hopewell Hurricanes with his fourth of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 4-1-0-0 while the Schooners fall to 3-2-0-0.
