Calgary, AB – Jason McDonald* scored two goals including his fourth goal of the season with 2:22 remaining in the third period and to spark the BDR Angers to a 5-4 win over the Sofa Kings at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Also scoring for the BDR Angers was Marty Holzinger* and Tom Ma* and Dan Rach* each adding single goals. Holzinger*, Jason Caldwell* and Dave Harman* each added two assists. Goaltender Phil Meloche* picked up the win for the BDR Angers giving up 0 goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Sofa Kings was Rob Johnston* with a hat-trick and Shane Harvey* with a single marker. Jason Manderson* and Jesse Louden* each added two assists. Goaltender Brett Walchuk* surrendered five goals in the loss for the Sofa Kings.

With the win, the BDR Angers improve to 1-2-0-0 while the Sofa Kings fall to 1-2-0-0.
