Calgary, AB – Nick Darling* scored a hat-trick and added five assists to help lift the Rustlers to a 9-2 pounding over the Chiefs at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Adding markers for the Rustlers was Kevin Leonard* with a hat-trick, Ian Stang* with two goals and Neil Hawrlyuk* with a single tally. Darling* added five assists, Leonard* added three assists, Stang* and Brad Hart* each added two assists. Goaltender Jared Wesley* picked up the victory for the Rustlers giving up two goals.

Scoring for the Chiefs was Steve Kolber(*) and Mike Ross(*) each with single strikes. Goaltender Blaine MacKeil (*) surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

With the victory, the Rustlers improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Chiefs fall to 0-2-0-0.
