Martin* scores two, Met�s mount comeback to beat the wheels off BDR Angers
Calgary, AB – Ryan Martin* scored two goals and added two assists to help fuel the Met�s erased a three-goal deficit and to a 9-5 pounding over the BDR Angers at Stew Hendry on Saturday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Met�s was Mark Lyle* with two goals and Mike Gillis*, Jason Lebbert*, Scott Fargey*, Jade Alberts* and Todd Noble* chipping in with a goal each. Goaltender Tyler Guppy* picked up the win for the Met�s giving up 0 goals.
Striking for the BDR Angers was Jason McDonald* with a hat-trick and Jon Sterenko* and Todd Esler * with a goal each. Sterenko* and Bryan Wright* each added two assists. Goaltender Phil Meloche* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the BDR Angers.
The BDR Angers jumped out to a 4-1 lead when McDonald* scored his third of the season with 10:18 left in the second period but Lyle* responded for the Met�s with his first of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Met�s improve to 1-0-0-0 while the BDR Angers fall to 0-1-0-0.
