Toovey tallies four, Cyclones comeback to edge Blades

Calgary, AB – Ryan Toovey scored four goals and added an assist as the Cyclones erased a three-goal deficit and extended their winning streak to three games with a 9-7 triumph over the Blades at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Cyclones was Shawn Bornais with two goals, Rob Kennedy and Dean Moffatt and Rob Nagle chipping in with singles. Kennedy and Dan Romano each added three assists and Tim Mayer added two assists. Goaltender Rick Hoyt picked up the victory for the Cyclones giving up 0 goals.

Finding the twine for the Blades was Ian Stang with a hat-trick, G Olsen with two goals and Nick Darling and Colin Dyck chipping in with a goal each. Olsen added three assists, Darling, Cory Romashenko and Ben Couzens each added two assists. Goaltender Graeme Rowe surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Blades.

The Cyclones jumped out to a 3-1 lead when Nagle scored his seventh of the season with 4:23 left in the first period but Stang responded for the Blades with his 11th of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the Cyclones improve to 6-4-1-0 while the Blades fall to 5-5-1-0.
