Calgary, AB – Joel Merkosky scored two goals and added two assists as the Mustangs extended its winning streak to three games with a 10-2 spanking over the Smokin' Guns at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Mustangs was BJ Gurba and Colin Baillargeon and Michael Lausch with a pair of goals each, Tyson Walker and Jordan Emmerson with a goal each. Merkosky, Emmerson, Walker, Braydon Hart and Austin Connelly each added two assists. Goaltender JF Voyer picked up the win for the Mustangs giving up two goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Smokin' Guns was Kyle Thompson and Joel Manson each adding a goal. Goaltender James McGivern surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the Smokin' Guns.

With the win, the Mustangs improve to 14-8-3-0 while the Smokin' Guns fall to 11-12-2-0.
