Bishop strikes twice, Kings squeak past Icemen
Calgary, AB – Derek Bishop scored two goals to guide the Kings to a 5-3 conquest over the Icemen at Village Square on Saturday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Kings was Dave Watt and Aaron Cowley and Kurtis Rutledge each adding single tallies. Adam McLean added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm picked up the win for the Kings giving up three goals.
The victory extinguished the Kings' three-game losing streak.
Cashing in for the Icemen was DELETE Dennis Nelson, Cayden Shmyr and DELETE David Walker chipping in with a goal each. Braden Billaney added two assists. Goaltender Mike Persson surrendered five goals in the loss for the Icemen.
The loss snuffed out the Icemen's three-game winning streak.
With the win, the Kings improve to 6-11-1-0 while the Icemen fall to 11-6-1-0.
