Calgary, AB – Ryan Matthys scored a hat-trick and added an assist to lift the Raiders to a 9-3 clobbering over the Blazers at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Raiders was Byron Thomson with two goals, Duncan Browne and Marcus Hoover and Ryan Bremer contributing with a goal each. Brian Davis added four assists, Parker Williams added three assists, Hoover, Browne and Nick Chambers each added two assists. Goaltender Justin Hawryluk picked up the win for the Raiders giving up three goals.

Sniping for the Blazers was Andrew Schubert, Doug Stewart and Adam Adair each adding single tallies. Alex Langley and Josh Goudie each added two assists. Goaltender Stefan Migotti surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Blazers.

With the win, the Raiders improve to 3-3-1-0 while the Blazers fall to 4-3-0-0.
