Reid nets hat-trick, Buffaloes conquer Kings
Calgary, AB – Jay Reid scored a hat-trick and added two assists to help the Buffaloes to an 11-9 win over the Kings at Optimist on Saturday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Buffaloes was Everett Nemeth with a hat-trick, Tony Yang and TJ Smith with a pair of goals each and Zack Wildman with a single tally. Jordan Hiller added five assists, Smith, Yang and Wildman each added three assists, Reid, Dylan Ackerman and Ryan Bell each added two assists. Goaltender Jon Kalkman picked up the win for the Buffaloes giving up nine goals.
Striking for the Kings was Dustin Yeager with a hat-trick and Ryan Richards, Michael Westover and Rory Dawson with a pair of goals each. Shane Wagstaff added four assists, Westover, Richards and Richard Smythe each added three assists. Goaltender William Michael Bourgeois surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Kings.
With the win, the Buffaloes improve to 2-4-1-0 while the Kings fall to 1-6-0-0.
